MIS Strategy Development
Any private or public organization needs an information system that allows it to operate effectively and efficiently. An overall Management Information Systems strategy will encompass all aspects of an organization's information needs. Identifying and mapping out these needs in general terms will serve to identify opportunities for setting up an appropriate system, and will also indicate where economies can be achieved by pooling resources and using various items of technology for multiple uses.
The longer-term needs and system requirements are reflected in an MIS strategy document which in fact is based on the organizational strategic plan. Having MIS strategy, therefore, guides the organization on how to align its IS with the business’s goals. This training focuses on how MIS strategy can be developed and aligned with business operations.
